But a trip to a psychic turns Isabelle’s life upside down: separated from her sister, Isabelle finds herself in a secluded camp. The search for Brett takes back seat as the mere survival becomes a priority. Filice’s story is charming and fast-paced with a strong, likable heroine and an enigmatic, alluring hero, and it’s the drama between Isabelle and Calix that really drives the story with Filice throwing in layers of darkness and realism. The ending seems a bit rushed but thoroughly satisfying, nonetheless. The intriguing storyline, endearing cast of characters, and the delicious underlying chemistry between the lead pair make this an entertaining read.
