Miura takes readers on a journey of heartbreak and healing as the characters struggle to find forgiveness in their hearts. Miura\u2019s complex worldbuilding is impressive, and she does a marvelous job crafting characters who, while damaged emotionally, are also resilient and relatable. Josie and Ana\u2019s relationship is etched in reality, and readers will have no choice but to root for their friendship. This stirring exploration of compassion, understanding, guilt, redemption, family, and friendship delivers the goods.
