These are big feelings, written in little dog barks. Lexi\u2019s anxiety is validated, not dismissed. Grandpa is patient, never pushy. And the final page, where Lexi reflects on her bravery and asks the reader, \u201cWhat have you tried that scares you?\u201d is a lovely call to empathy (and perhaps a little introspection). The illustrations are warm and expressive, capturing Lexi\u2019s every emotion with playful detail and cozy charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
