The future looks bleak until a long-lost friend from past returns. But to reunite with her true love, Ava must leave everything behind. Scarrott satisfyingly fleshes out her characters, including sweet and dependable Adam and Ava\u2019s opportunistic husband Mark. Although the plot is mostly predictable, the worldbuilding is solid, and the lively writing and accessible prose with enough of backstory to create a cohesive storyline and construct characters of the lost world make for an entertaining read. This lively mix of romance and fantasy will charm lovers of women\u2019s fiction and readers who like their fantasy light. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
