Jordan, Justin, Stephanie, and Catherine, the Math Kids, are more than excited for their summer trip to London. Accompanied by Bobby, a British police officer, the kids begin their London trip. But things take a dangerous turn after sinister messages threatening the city\u2019s landmarks begin to pop up. With the city on high alert and their vacation plan at risk, the group know they must unravel the mystery of the message fast. They team up with Bobby and begin to look into the case, unaware their search will take them on a dangerous journey. The group\u2019s new adventure contains a puzzling mystery, some math problems to solve, and a fully fleshed-out London trip, taking readers to experience the best of London, such as Tower of London, Changing of the Guard, the remarkable Crown Jewels, Traitors\u2019 Gate, Tower Green (where Anne Boleyn met her grisly end), and London Eye among others. The prose is engrossing, the plotting tight, and the final reveal is worth all the buildup. The characters, from the extraordinary foursome to Bobby the bobby, are fully developed, and themes of friendship, solidarity, determination, logical reasoning, and problem-solving are woven nicely into the narrative. Shannon O’Toole\u2019s illustrations are thoroughly detailed and delightful. A fast-moving plot, and the characters\u2019 fun banter will encourage even reluctant readers to test the waters. Full of mystery, puzzles, and intrigue, this solid, tightly plotted read is a winner for middle graders. Un-put-downable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
