Emmanuel\u2019s portrayal of selfish, credibly flawed Timi is both realistic and authentic. The prose is first-rate, the narrative flows with ease, and the depiction of Preye\u2019s troubled relationship with Timi and the way it unravels eventually is deeply realistic and wholly convincing.
