In the Orbit of Sirens by T.A. Bruno

A seamless story of compelling power…

After destructive starship machines force humanity to abandon their homes in the Sol-System and seek shelter somewhere else, Kamaria, a small planet shrouded in mystery, becomes the hub of life-or-death negotiations with advanced alien species also in race to make the mysterious planet their home. As Denton Castus, a resilient everyman, and Eliana Veston, a gifted researcher, work to secure their future, a new menace arises, threatening to destroy their plan. What follows is an action-packed, darkly intriguing adventure full of technological and futuristic wonders and dark fantasy elements, all made grim by the characters’ desperation to get things done. Almost all of the individual conflicts erupt into violence, leaving the participants with emotional scars. The huge time jump between past and present (300 years) is balanced with skill, and the action-packed culmination is hugely satisfying. Well executed, sharply told, and highly atmospheric, this promising start to a new epic science fiction series is sure to win Bruno plenty of fans.
