Tango by Susan K. Kehoe

A rewarding take on second chances and finding love…

In the absorbing latest from Kehoe, a young woman’s solitude is disrupted by her husband’s betrayal. Life for twenty-six-year-old Jessica Coxwell in Kentucky horse country is mostly content. She’s happily married, and her work as a stable manager for the wealthy O’Connell family is nothing but rewarding. When a shocking secret about her husband comes to surface, Jessica finds her life turning upside down. But that’s just the beginning of Jessica’s troubles: an unexpected discovery at the horse farm sends her seeking answers for her father’s death. Told in third-person omniscient narrative voice, Kehoe unearths her characters’ deepest secrets and emotions. She beautifully conveys Jessica’s complicated feelings about her relationships, as well as her transition into an assured person who strives to find fulfillment and contentment despite her past trauma. Questions of Arctic Cat’s background and Neil’s involvement in Jessica’s father’s death keep readers guessing. The intriguing world of horse-grooming and dance, tight plotting, and fast-paced narration make it a page-turning read. A delight.
