A delightful adventure…

Peppermint Bark, Santa’s fluffy white puppy, finds himself stuck in a chimney in the town of Poinsettia after he stealthily accompanies Santa on his sleigh ride around the world. When eight- and eleven-year-old Chris and Holly Kerstman discover him wedged in their chimney, they decide to help the pup gets home before the last magical portal to the North Pole closes. The search for the portal around the town gets everyone in trouble including Jeek and Glendle, Santa’s two elves, who’ve been assigned to retrieve the pup back. Peppermint Bark is a complete darling as well as every child’s dream pup with its ability to talk. The setting of the north pole and the town of Poinsettia with its dreamy Christmas does full justice to the holiday theme of the story. The troubles children and elves get into are both hilarious and amusing, and the ending is pleasantly satisfying. Young readers will be rewarded.
